How long had Trump been taking documents to MAL?

Were they all moved just before Joe Biden's inauguration?

Or were some moved much earlier?

It seems like a lot of boxes of documents to get together at the last minute as you were moving out?

Who was checking out the documents and bringing them to Trump? Was he moving the documents from the Oval Office to his living quarters until he would get a good collection and then take them to MAL?

How long were the aides looking in the burn bags for the documents? They knew they were missing and they were looking for them but nobody said anything.

How was the process working?

I see that the DOJ returned the passports to Trump.

I saw it on one of the MSNBC chryons. I guess they were picked up by mistake in the search.

Chuck Rosenberg said that was not uncommon. But they will usually take passports when it is something like a big drug bust and they may anticipate someone attempting to flee the country.

We probably should delete the thread on the other story, from CBS.

Senate Intel wants a "Damage Assessment" of documents at MAL.

Since they have been there for about 20 months, the quick assessment might be that nobody knows how much damage has been done? They might know more once an inventory is done of documents that have been recovered?

Nobody knows if copies may have been made?

Nobody knows who may have seen the documents?

Nobody knows if some of the documents may have been stolen?

Nobody knows, at this time, if some documents may have sold to adversaries?

Personally, I do not see how they can get a reliable damage assessment at this time?

Unless somebody talks...

Did Melania watch the "raid" on CCTV with her husband?

I thought they were living apart?

I wonder if they enjoyed the show?

Can you imagine the conversation?

"Donald, they are looking thru my clothes."

"To hell with your clothes, they are looking thru my safe!"

Joe Scarborough KO's Trump's excuses

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough knocked down Donald Trump's excuses for taking home classified documents to his home at Mar-A-Lago.

"I didn't take the documents, but if I did take the documents, they weren't classified, and if they were classified, then they were planted, and if they weren't, I declassified them, and if I didn't, then it's a hoax," Scarborough said. "If it is not a hoax, Obama did it. He keeps changing, he keeps going through the lies. You know, first, he said he was working and cooperating with government agents, then, when we found out the truth about that, he said the agents planted it. Finally, he started lying -- and you're going to talk about this in a second -- saying he declassified them."

Questions continue to arise about the documents.

The NARA wrangled with Trump for over a year in an attempt to get Trump to return the missing documents. Finally, they went to the DOJ to get a subpoena and then went to retrieve the missing boxes of documents. Trump gave them 15 boxes of documents and he thought that was the end of the story.

But "someone" informed the DOJ that there were still boxes of documents left at Mar-a-Lago. So the FBI sent a couple of guys down to verify the story and discovered that it was true. They requested that Trump put a padlock on the door in the basement.

Two months later, the FBI showed up with a team to search the premises and to seize all documents not belonging to Donald J Trump. And we are here today.

But many questions are still unanswered. How did Trump get the documents into the boxes? Who assisted him? How many people knew about the documents? Where did he hide them before they were moved to MAL? How did he get them out of the White House unnoticed?

Even bigger questions: Did he lose any of the documents? Or did he sell any of the documents to a third party?

The American people need answers.

Did Trump spill the beans on himself?

The FBI were attempting to be discreet about seizing the documents at Mar-a-lago. They did it when no one was home and did not go in very early in the morning. They even covered up the logos on their jackets by wearing different jackets. They were going to keep it quiet.

But one guy, Donald Trump, could not keep it quiet. He was immediately on social media telling the world that his home was under siege and was being ransacked. He said, "They even broke into my safe!" Hmmmm....

Chances are that we would not even know about the search today if Trump had not opened his big powdery donut mouth?

The FBI was primarily interested in seizing the documents and putting them back into their proper place but it looks like Trump spilled the beans? Now, even some Republicans are starting to question his motives.

The best way to fight Trump and his Cult, with their lies, propaganda, and crimes...

...is with the law.

Not with investigations alone, but with charges and indictments and convictions.

But it has to be done in a more aggressive manner.

It is understandable that people want to make sure they can get a conviction before they indict Donald Trump, but that is not the case with all his associates who have carried his water and lied for him and covered up his crimes.

In my opinion, the Georgia trial should start soon and some of these people should be charged with election fraud. Just because it didn't work does not mean they are not guilty. They tried very hard.

The "fake electors" should have to answer for their attempt to defraud the voters. They should have to explain it in front of a jury.

The point is that you cannot leave these people alone with their devices of lies and deceit. They must be challenged. The best weapon that the people have against this enemy of democracy is the rule of law. But it has to be used and much more aggressively.

In my opinion, Trump's lawyers should have to explain why they lied for him and covered up his crimes against our nation.
