Ted Cruz to stay at home after 'brief' interaction with coronavirus patient at CPAC

“I’m not experiencing any symptoms, and I feel fine and healthy. Given that the interaction was 10 days ago, that the average incubation period is 5-6 days, that the interaction was for less than a minute, and that I have no current symptoms, the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low,” Cruz said.

Should the government implement Yang's UBI to get us through the virus crisis?

Instead of cutting rates or taxes, just send every American $1000 or more for a brief period of time until the crisis is over.

Most jobs are dependent on consumer spending, and if consumers are quarantined in their homes, then they're not spending which means job losses which mean cascading debt defaults which mean bank failures which mean economic depression.

Just give everyone a stipend to get them through.

Accidentally Wes Anderson

It all started with a subreddit and a Wes Anderson fan. On the site were images taken from real-life, with one caveat: each image was, in some way, reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film, of the pastel-colored fantasy worlds he immerses viewers in. After stumbling on the reddit, Wally Koval decided to create an Instagram page, and @accidentallywesanderson was born. The account is a testament to the power of images, a visual feast for travel enthusiasts and anyone with an appreciation for design and architectural aesthetic. The images are divergent in place and subject, but similar in the beauty they evoke.

Taking on the Dem establishment means taking on those Dems who impeached Trump

The establishment Democrats in the House of Representatives are the ones that put their political careers on the line to impeach a sitting president. They did so in lock step agreement when a lot of people thought that they never would.

To run against them from the left is an insult to all Democrats.

Three key mistakes that Bernie made

1. He mis-understood that Democrats hate/fear Trump more than billionaires, Wall Street, and health insurance companies. Yes, the party hates these groups as well, but not on the same scale that they hate Trump.

2. Sanders insulted the Democratic establishment and with that he insulted established African American leaders like Clyburn. Sorry, but a lot of established Democrats happen to be African American. Think Congresswoman Karen Bass head of the Congressional Black Caucus. Think Congressman Hakeem Jeffries. African Americans have put in the work to get into these positions, and attacking them means attacking their supporters and constituents.

3. You cannot build a left of center political movement with young voters as your base. This has been tried again and again, and it has failed again and again. Left of center movements are successful when it comes from older working class adults and seniors not college students. Build the movement with teachers, nurses, union members, farmers, and the like. It's seductive to build off of young people because they will come to your rallies, but they won't vote when you need them.

In 1980, Reagan put Bush I, a moderate Republican, on his ticket

During the Republican nomination campaign, Bush mocked the core of Reagan's tax cut message by calling it "voodoo economics".

Why did Reagan do that? Because he needed a united party to go after Jimmy Carter. Reagan was the leader of the conservative movement, yet he understood the need to bring people along with the movement instead of mocking and insulting them.
