She didn't win the presidency because she didn't win the Electoral College. She should have won, but didn't for a variety of reasons, including Russian interference, gerrymandering and voter suppression. Certainly Trump's win wasn't legitimate, but he's the president and she isn't.

... the strongest candidate to take on Trump. He had a tough approach to campaigning. He is smart, trusted and charming. He is a big favorite to beat Trump. He has the best chance at a landslide win, which we need badly.

Everyone else was a huge risk by comparison.

Warren was always my favorite, but she started out this process very vulnerable. She's run the best campaign so far... By far.

And Biden has been weaker than i expected.

So I'm much closer to being undecided today than in the past. And if Warren can continue to prove her national scale campaign abilities, we should start to see her polling shady l against Trump improve. If that happens, I'll be switching back to Warren.

Not voting for a candidate because someone else might think they're too female is no different than not voting for a candidate because someone else might think they're too male, old and white. ALL factors are relevant.

I was an enthusiastic supporter of Secretary Clinton; not, as were so many on this site, a "I'll hold my nose and vote for her" type. If Senator Warren wins the nomination, I will promote and support her with equal enthusiasm.

That said, I have one goal: to remove from the White House the lunatic now occupying it, and doing so will be, I believe, far more difficult than some here seem to think.

As such, every single factor that lessens our chances of doing so is problematic for me.

Every candidate has something about them that will cause some people not to vote for them. But it seems that various types of bigotry - especially based on race, gender and sexual orientation - are given as justifications for not voting for someone.

FYI - there are plenty of people who will never vote for a white guy or a straight guy but we NEVER even consider not nominating a straight white man in order to assuage them.

We're Democrats and we're not weaklings. We need to pick the person we think will make the best president and then work like hell to get th vote out that will make them win. There are more of us than them. Why should we let the bigots and knuckle-draggers decide who OUR candidate should be?

want our party to win in 2020, instead of Trump winning re-election (or another Republican winning if Trump doesn't run), they'll vote for the nominee.

We don't have ANY candidates who have unanimous support. If we did, that person would currently be polling at 100%.

that might cause some people not to vote for them (because of prejudices such as misogyny, racism, ageism or homophobia). But the people who'd reject those candidates on account of their prejudices probably wouldn't vote for any Democrat. Right now we've got an old white Catholic guy, an old white Jewish guy, an oldish white woman, a middle-aged black woman, a youngish white gay man, a middle-aged white woman, a black man, a Latino man, and a few more white men. The five "non-standard" (i.e., not middle-aged white guys) candidates are actually ahead in the polls, so we're likely to be voting for someone against whom some people will be prejudiced, but very few of those voters will be Democrats. All of those non-standard candidates, in my humble estimation, are electable.

...but what I see with Hunter Biden and what I hear is 'the old swamp is better than the new swamp'.

Sorry, but that's just not good enough.

Poling shows that Joe Biden's claim that only he can beat Trump simply isn't true. Nearly every Democrat can beat Trump.

Joe, I thank you for your years of service, but your time is past. Please step aside.

I don't care about their age, gender, ethnicity or if they are in love with a person of the same sex. Even though 'some' ("a lot" per you) people do and won't vote for them because of it.

That goes against my core beliefs and 'some' people need to wake up and be more engaged in what's taking place in this country right now.

I'm not willing to engage in such childish games as some people this cycle.

It was at a lawyer's condo and Joe was great. He spoke to the group for a good 20+ minutes and did a great job. Joe is in great shape.

As a member of the bar, you would be amused as to how many lawyers were at this fundraiser. It was a very nice event. I was a delegate to the national convention and I got Joe to sign three floor speech signs that I brought back from the convention.
