The Departments longstanding policy is to decline to provide Congressional committees with access to open law enforcement files.
Sadly for Jordan, Gaetz, MTG, Perry, and others, no exceptions for the files of the investigations of members of Congress.

One key different between 2000 and now is that some members of the Committee providing oversight of these open investigations are targets of these open investigations for Jan 6th. Some of these Committee members are alleged to have asked Trump for a pardon. So they should be nowhere near that DoJ investigation for very obvious reasons. And since their request for a pardon came well before any investigation, they themselves know that they had some concerns over their own apparent criminal behavior so the request for a pardon is an admission to the extent that it helps justify why the DoJ would be looking into them.
Further the testimony collected by the January 6th congressional investigation heavily relied on Republican testimony which further dilutes the claim that the investigation was politically motivated.
