Jim Jordan drafted doc that gave McCarthy gavel -allows for INTERFERENCE INTO ONGOING INVESTIGATIONS

A Jim Jordan drafted document allowing for the interference into ongoing criminal investigations is what got Scott Perry, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, and Andy Biggs -- all of whom sought pardons -- to allow McCarthy to get a gavel.

It appears some of these changes may have been part of the ongoing negotiation that occurred to get Speaker McCarthy the gavel. The metadata on the updated document shows it was last modified at 5:40pm yesterday, in the midst of final intense negotiations.

There are some eye-opening provisions in the text of the GOP’s proposed “select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government” that will get a vote next week.

One explicitly authorizes the review of “ongoing criminal investigations.”

(A) the expansive role of Article II authority vested in the Executive Branch to collect information on or otherwise investigate citizens of the United States, including ongoing criminal investigations;

The DOJ went after the little fish which ignoring the instigators. Only this week was it reported that Jack Smith has asked the state of Michigan to share emails related to the illegal alternate slate of electors, which says to me that the DOJ had not collected this evidence from Michigan or any other state that sent fake slates of electors to Congress and the National Archives. Why not?

Jack Smith also just hired two people to investigate public corruption, including by members of Congress. Has the DOJ ignored he WH and Willard Hotel insurrection planning meetings attended by members of Congress until now?

It was reported this week that the DOJ has arrested over 900 domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6, with more arrests to come, yet has only been able to prosecute about 200 per year, which means we have at least 2-3 more years needed for prosecutions. Meanwhile, most of these violent offenders are walking around free. When will the statute of limitations run out?

I think Jack Smith’s appointment is encouraging, but I’m taking a wait-and-see approach to what happens next.

goes after the planners of the insurrection.

We have been commenting for YEARS now that Garland has left no such trail, though it should have been visible. When we pointed that out, we were told, "The DOJ doesn't leak!1!"

These aren't leaks. They are the visible paperwork evidence of a normal investigation.

All of these pieces of visible paperwork show us what the DOJ HASN'T done up to now.

And the information should be shocking to all of us. But apparently it isn't.

The legislature has no business mucking about in criminal investigations, just like the DOJ can't go into the Congress and tell this halfwitted traitor scum how to run his committee.

It's a clear separation of powers issue.
