Don’t know how many of you remember MissHoneyChurch. She fell in love with baby Simon kitten while visiting us in early 2007. Of course, we kept him here, as she couldn’t ship him and quarantine him. He was such a tiny thing. Every time she visited, he acted as if she had never left… until last year, when it was just too long for him to remember.
He has been in kidney failure for about 2 years. He stopped eating yesterday, so I took him to urgent care today. His weight is still good (almost 12 pounds!) but he just wasn’t feeling good. Doc gave him some different shots to help him feel better. But he is definitely on borrowed time. He’s sitting next to me for “wine time” now, looking like he might be interested in some supper in a few minutes.
Many of our pets were born in 2006 and 2007. Simon is the last one of that batch. We had to say goodbye to 17-year-old Sarabi in May. I have a 21-year-old cat who came to me separately. She is also in kidney failure, but doing well so far.
It’s hard. Just saying… I love them all and wish they could live forever. Just glad we have an excellent vet care here and we’ll do what we can to make them comfortable and happy.

Didn't expect to be this close to a MAGAt rally.
We had business in Asheville, NC, today. Had some trouble parking at the garage where we can usually find a spot on the first level. Turns out there’s a Trump rally here. 
Asheville is pretty much a blue dot, so some of the locals expressed their dismay. Apparently people are coming from red outlying areas. We were told he had to pay cash up front for the venue. Good move on that point, Asheville! I saw women with Trump T-shirts and flag outfits (which has always struck me as disrespectful), bumper stickers, the works. I didn’t bother to find out exactly where they were going.
We live in very red TN, but no one ever bothers to come to our immediate are and I have recently seen very few bumper stickers. Somehow I found being in Asheville today more shocking and upsetting. Maybe it’s because we’ve long seen it as our relatively safe haven that is now being polluted by the orange shitgibbon and his mindless minions.
I continue to ask myself and anyone who will listen: How can so many people be supporting this degenerate piece of shit scumbag? How can women of any color be supporting him? Doesn’t it matter to them that he’s a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist, women especially? WTAF! It’s disheartening, to say the least
Glad we’re on our way home so at least we don’t have to see the mind numbing stupidity quite so up-close. I’ll soothe myself with Kamala news and videos once we get home. Maybe pull a few weeds and name them all after MAGAt sycophants.
So what happens to our donations
to Biden/Harris if they manage to knock Kamala off the ballot as well?
What I know about polls.
I am a retired senior.
I vote in every election.
I vote for Democrats straight down the ticket.
We have 2 cell phones in our household and just ditched our landline a few years ago.
I usually answer phone calls, even if I don't recognize the number.
I have lived in 6 states, multiple locations in each state.
I have lived in my current house for 17 years.
And I have never been called. No one in my family has ever been called. Not once.
Glean from it what you want, but I'm a bit distrustful of polls.

This debate is hard to listen to and he doesn’t sound his best, while TSF lies with a strong, loud voice. Hopefully the fact checkers are on it. Let’s re-elect the sane, compassionate, smart man!

It has just occurred to me that I have been stressed out by them at least since they stole to election in 2000, if not before. Every time I think they can’t fuck us over more, I get surprised. Every time I think they can’t introduce worse crazy fucks to us, I get surprised.
Ok, just venting. I will vote, even though I live in TN and it won’t matter. We have the chance to oust that monster Marsha Blackburn, but I’ll be surprised if we do. This seriously stupid Trump country.
Maybe I just need a hug. I’m glad we have DU.

OK, please don't scold me...
I hate FaceBook and don't generally use it. But right now I have to sell some things. I've bought some nice things locally from their Marketplace and thought maybe I could sell my stuff there. It seems like a much nicer listing than eBay or Craig's List, and it's easy for buyers to look at just local stuff.
So here's my question: I have 5 listings that I put up just a few hours ago. They've gotten 1, 2, 5, 6, and 9 clicks. But no messages. Are clicks good? I mean, someone's looking. But does it take a lot of clicks to make the sale? Maybe I need to lower the price if the clicks go up but no one sends a message?
I'm very, very green at such things.

I got my 2nd Shingrix vax yesterday morning.
First one was 2 months ago and all I got was a very mild sore arm.
I felt fine yesterday, not even a sore arm. I went to sleep at my normal time. Then, I woke up at 2:12am hurting everywhere and feeling like a death warmed over. Couldn't get back to sleep because I felt so rotten. So I watched videos and sipped water until time to get up.
The nurse told me whatever happens will only last for 24 hours. Hopefully she's right. I have a house guest coming on Friday and need to get some stuff done. Guess it will have to wait.
Husband got his at the same time and is fine today. But it had been a lot longer since his first one. I wonder if that makes a difference.
In any case, I'm glad we're both protected now!
I blame the media.
Seriously, that lying sack of shit lawyer wouldn’t have a platform to spew his fantasies if they didn’t schedule him on every single program all weekend long! How is he not tainting the jury pool, poisoning the well, all that stuff? I know that’s his intention, but why is he given free airtime to do it? THIS is how we got stuck with the mess we have now.
