it is not the challenger who has to worry about being at 50% at this point, but more the incumbant. But I heartily agree with you (and Carney) that the media has not been doing it's job and Romney has been getting away with murder while there has been a pile on President Obama. In their wanting to keep the horse race close the media may allow Romney to win.
