I suspect that agents in the FBI and CIA read this forum and I am posting this with the hope that they do. My story is a cautionary one and I am sure many already have their disdain for the Canadian apparatus, you can clearly see from my post here that I certainly do. This may read like a Hollywood movie, but one would have to understand the security apparatus in Canada which is far more akin to former East Germany or Russia to truly appreciate the power they hold. It is an apparatus that like the two former systems, will bankrupt the nation. I will not stop with exposing my story to Americans in particular until my life is allowed to move forward unabated. I apologize for the long read. It may take ten minutes out of your day, for me it has been two decades and counting.

Security is paramount in today’s day and age. Not only the terrorist threats, but also the usual espionage that is committed by foreign powers. My story may shed some light on why Canada; as an ally to the United States, should not be trusted nor be considered a dependable partner in the battle against these threats. The security apparatus in Canada from the municipal police to the federal level is inept, self-serving and as I learned extremely vindictive. It is a system that is based on protecting their power, careers, increasing their bloated budgets and avoiding embarrassment or outside “threats”, a minor concern on their agenda is protecting Canadians from legitimate threats; this is far down on their list of priorities. If they care little about Canada’s security, how much effort will they put forward to protecting America? I represent a threat only to their reputation as I confronted them with what I knew, this serves no one but a few selfish, vengeful careerists. As a sign of my faith in truth and transparency I would even be willing to give details to the FBI if requested to based on this posting. This is how enraged I am by the injustice I have faced and how I hope it enrages Americans to know how their sovereignty is being jeopardized by the security apparatus (I use the term lightly) to the North.

Before I go into my own personal trauma, I will provide the hard facts.

Canada recently had a naval officer spying for Russia. He had reached the rank of Sargent and had provided what was termed as “a wikileaks” AMOUNT of information to the enemy, but far more harmful in scope and secrecy. Ironically, it was the U.S security apparatus that caught this leak and a great deal of this information was high level NATO intel:

A purported U.S. State Department document from 2004 published by WikiLeaks last year describes the Halifax Trinity facility where Mr. Deslisle worked as a “fully integrated” fusion centre for naval intelligence as part of “a fully integrated US-Canada Maritime surveillance system.”

I am sure many of you are aware of the “Millennium bomber”, Ahmed Ressam who successfully traveled through Canada but was thankfully stopped by the U.S border with an explosive that would have killed many in Los Angeles:

Of course the most famous (at least in Canada), is the Maher Arar case in which the RCMP provided weak details to the Americans about Arar’s involvement in terrorism which started a thunderstorm of problems for both American and Canadian security agents:

The RCMP provided American authorities with inaccurate and misleading information that “very likely” led to Syrian-born Canadian Maher Arar’s arrest and deportation, the federal inquiry into the case has concluded.

These issues are evident at the macrolevel, but what about the microlevel? The individual circumstances and targets that bog down the system and take away resources from other more pressing, demanding and urgents needs? This is where my story comes in and it presents not only how disingenuous they are, but also how they blatantly stab the back of their allies.

I am essentially a “manufactured threat”. As entrapment is illegal in the U.S and England, but quite acceptable in Canada the ability for the security apparatus to essentially “create” threats is unmatched anywhere in the world, including nations we would not consider very democratic. They add a name to the system and milk it for all it is worth while smacking each other on the backs for a job well done; unbeknownst to the poor soul who is being decimated.


I love my country and I would never do anything to undermine it’s safety. I care enough about my country to expose what has and is happening to me and to be sure that every other nation knows about this, especially the United States; a nation which I have been raised to admire as being “just like us”, though almost certainly more free and accountable to it’s citizens. Consider some of the examples I provided above and how great a number of resources has been spent ruining my life while legitimate threats exist in Canada. Take in to account the facts, I do NOT have a criminal record, have never even been given a ticket for jay walking.


I am graduate of university who finished in top 4% of my class (and reaching as high as my MBA), I should have been able to contribute in a positive manner in the country that I love. A love I held so close that I applied for the army reserves while in University, and ironically, was interviewed for an intelligence position. The persecution I have experienced would be reserved for a war criminal, but instead it has been applied to a man who doesn’t even have a criminal record.

My story and the roundabout way in which it affects American security started when I was 17. An undercover officer at my high school befriended myself and others in “smash and grabs”. He was the ringleader, driving us to different locations. During the arrest I refused to speak without access to my parents or a lawyer, I was never disrespectful nor impolite as I always respected authority, but being a naïve believer in the rule of law, I was not only denied this right, but I was severely beaten with a stick to my groin and I was rendered deaf in one ear due to the beating I received.


I told the courts what had happened when we went to trial. I provided hospital records, and at the time I assumed wrongly that the ringing in my ear would subside eventually; it never did. The judge threw out the case of the police and actually chastised the detectives and the police. I never pursued a lawsuit because my dad (who I feared more than God himself at the time) figured I got what I deserved and he didn’t believe me (even after the hearing report came back). He himself, a former military man and believer in a different set of values than most, I had no choice but to let it go, I considered myself lucky to not have a criminal record at a young age. The stare I received from the detective who sat in the courtroom during the proceedings should have been a stark warning that this was not over. I had effectively told the world that this man took a stick to the sexual parts of a teenager and had made me deaf. As it turned out, this was not the first time he had been accused of abusing a youth in his custody…I was about to be made an example of how they deal with people like me.

After we got off of these charges, and before I was aware of the undercover who had been setting us up, there was an intense desire to “get me”. I had decided that I would walk the straight and narrow, I had learned my lesson; the police had a different plan altogether. Before they went full steam ahead to target me, they interfered with my relationship with a girlfriend who was one year my senior. She had provided stability and a diversion from hanging out with my friends, outside forces worked hard to successfully cause her to break up with me. Indirectly due to their interference, less than a year after we broke up she committed suicide, at the age of 18. These facts, were not known at the time but I learned of them much later…far too late to do anything. I attended her funeral without any knowledge of what was going on behind the scenes. It was after this tragic incident that they amplified their desire to ruin my life even more than before. Now they had to justify all that they had done, their actions contributing to the death of a young lady.


Without going into great detail this undercover attempted to engage me in everything under the sun, I rejected it all. The police tried to befriend me with different undercovers, pushed the idea of making money by selling drugs, stealing high tech equipment to make counterfeit credit cards, engage in armed robberies…all of which I rejected, I successful resisted all overtures during a period in ones life in which alliances with friends was most important.

What Americans, and in particular the FBI might be most interested in is that this undercover attempted to entrap me with the possibility of engaging in a counterfeit money business. He didn’t attempt to get me into the business using fake Canadian money; but instead he used AMERICAN counterfeit money as the incentive. I never engaged in this “offer” (thankfully), but I did see the currency with my own two eyes. Without a doubt it was not legitimate American money, though side by side both bills would be easily accepted by a store, especially in Canada where it is not as abundant and readily comparable. He attempted on numerous occasions to get me involved in this federal offense and for a kid in need of money he might have succeeded if I didn’t consider the consequences and decline the offer.
No friend of another nation would engage in an attack on the sovereign currency of another nation. It could be argued that this in itself is an act of war, the apparatus in Canada did not view it this way. This was simply another weapon in their arsenal in their ongoing attempts to destroy me.


After it was evident that I would not be involving myself in any criminal activities, the tactics changed. I am partly to blame for falling for this and I am angry at myself these many years later after I had successfully avoided any trouble.

One night while taking the train back from my part-time job, I was jumped and robbed by black youths. I was hospitalized after the attack. The culprits were never caught and I was livid, losing my front tooth and having my nose broken in the attack. Still a young man myself, angry and confused, I was given a phone number by someone who was supposed to be my friend. This phone number was to a White Supremist group called the Heritage Front.


Now I never joined the group, I did call them on one occasion but didn’t leave my name or show any further interest. In fact, I remarked to the “friend” who gave me this phone number that the voice on their answering machine made it sound cheesy and ridiculous. As it turned out, this phone number was to a group funded by CSIS (our CIA equivalent) and it was set up to essentially expose so-called “anti-semetic” and racist threats. I was never a member of this group, nor met any members in the group. Nor did I show any further interest outside of that ill-fated phone call during a time of anger. It was however the ridiculous smoking gun they needed. A man who had dated women of all nationalities, who had many friends of different races (living in a multicultural part of Toronto), I could now be labeled a “threat” due to ideology. The accusation is absolutely false, but having an ideological accusations ensures you will be in the "database" for life...my life was essentially ruined at this point.


In short I have had constant employment interference since graduation, this includes a job at IBM and a major Canadian bank. What many might find startling is that once again there was an attack by our security apparatus on America occurred. This time not by the use of counterfeit American money but via horrendous accusations which almost certainly were made in an effort to further misrepresent me.

An employee started at IBM less than a month after I was hired, this person was an undercover Canadian agent. After the attacks of 9/11 this agent immediately accused America of being involved in the 9/11 attacks after they occurred. In fact he took it a step further and suggested that this had to be an operation committed by either the CIA or Israel. I was so angered by this accusation that I almost got into a physical fight at work with this co-worker. 3000 people had just lost their lives and he was accusing America of committing this crime against themselves. I asked for a transfer out of his area as he constantly spoke about politics and conspiracies (among other attempts to have me fired). When I eventually left IBM I found out that I was placed on “non rehire”, even though I never had any argument with a manager and had been nominated for a prestigious sales award.


Regardless of what a regular citizen might believe about the attacks of 9/11, there is a HUGE difference when another nations intelligence agency is spreading such a “rumour” or accusation. Again, it is not the actions of a nation that would be considered an ally, regardless of their motivations. After some time, when I became aware of the Heritage Front being funded and lead by a CSIS agent, and with the help of some studious people that I started to unravel my situation. I began a very long battle with the establishment to clear my name.
I requested my “file” from CSIS and the RCMP. I received a file that only included my initial complaint to them, however, there was a section which they denied me access to due to “National Security” issues. Which neither confirms nor denies that there was any further pertinent details, but it COULD represent the information I needed. I threatened to sue, I contacted the prime ministers office and the public safety minister who oversees the security establishment. Noone would take ownership. I had little recourse other than to apply pressure through the media which would be difficult as I had been branded with an ideology I didn’t have.


The final straw in my saga happened in 2008 when I attempted to travel to the U.S with my wife. I was held at the border with my wife for 45 minutes, my passport was confiscated until further notice. Eventually we were allowed inside, when I asked the guard who returned my passport if there was a problem, he replied; and I quote: “not with us, you are free to go, but you might want to speak to your government. Have a nice day.”

Ironically, after years of contacting the RCMP and CSIS to access my file and obtain some accountability, it was an American border guard who thankfully; in the presence of my wife, provided the information I needed. I launched a lawsuit against the government as a sign of how lost the apparatus is on even the courts in this country, they forced me to name the queen as a defendant, I refused suggesting she had nothing to do with my situation, I was told if I didn’t include her name it would not go forward. “That’s just the way the process is”…that tells you everything about how backwards this system is. I named her along with the true offending agencies; CSIS and the RCMP.

When I launched this suit for employment interference, misrepresentation and violation of my Charter of Rights (Constitution in America) the starting money required to have a lawyer engaged in the process was $50,000. I could not afford this so I had to defend myself. As is law, the defendants had to enter a plea, they had 30 days to do so, I was aware that they might try to drag this process out, but being self represented it would only cost me my time. They did something I could never have expected, they let the plea time reach it’s final day before bombarding me with details about my “evidence.”

I made them aware that outside of my testimony that THEY had the evidence, it would be included in my dossier. I countered their request with a request of my own; I wanted my dossier for my defense. However, I gave them an out. They could avoid the entire $2 million lawsuit if they would simply state in writing that no dossier existed that included any espionage activities against me. They refused to do so. I requested the courts step in to force them to answer this basic question, since they refused to acknowledge their innocence or guilt, they were in essence looking to have the case thrown out by playing possum. Even in cases where the plantiff has accused the state of ridiculous actions such as implanting their brain with a bug of some sort, they have at least plead not guilty, in my case they avoided this altogether. They had the case thrown out without stepping into a courtroom due to the circumstantial merits of my evidence, however, I am able to pursue this suit down the road as the courts agreed my argument leaves room for "further discussion.” Furthermore, in a rare case the courts did not charge me for the courts and crowns time which usually runs into the thousands. I was told by a lawyer this might also allude to their belief in the validity of my claim.


Americans do not know how lucky they have it. I truly mean this. As a person who has visited America on a number of occasions there is a distinct difference in the freedoms you enjoy. You nation is far more Libertarian in the classical sense. Canada is not a republic, we have believed strongly in a centralized government that operates to control its citizens rather than to secure their safety. In America the system works for the people, they don’t feel they have a God ordained right to supreme power as they do in Canada. It has allowed the security apparatus to operate with no constraints, no danger of lawsuits or accountability except in extreme cases in which the plantiff can afford to fight back. The apparatus as a rule will generally avoid these people instead targeting poorer subjects.

I once read a posting on here of a man who had his car window smashed in. The FBI had incorrectly broke into his car when it was another car of the same make and colour they were after. What was startling to me was that the poster stated that a note was left by the FBI, acknowledging guilt, apologizing and offering to pay for the window. Why was I so surprised? In Canada I would be shocked if a federal officer would ever do such a thing and leave a note admitting fault. The security apparatus in Canada is truly feared, instead of being viewed as partners in protecting the country everyone is fearing for their own safety if they should ever be accused of anything.

I am certain that my story is not unique in Canada. The problem is that the vast majority of those who are suffering like I am don’t realize why. They simply accept that they lost their job because they are incompetent or due to “bad luck”. I have a strong belief in my ability so I never assumed this to be the case, luckily I was able to determine the entire story going back so many years, countless other Canadians don’t have a clue.

Can you imagine having your life ruined like I have although you have no record, have threatened noone, have jeopardized noones security? Can you imagine your system denying you the basic means to survive through employment interference all in an effort to protect their own asses?

Ultimately, I pray that stories like mine reach those in positions of power not in Canada, but in other nations. I have a file opened with the U.N regarding my situation, and even though I have not officially communicated with the FBI regarding what I know about this Canadian agent who was counterfeiting American currency, it is information I am sure they would want to know.

In America you have numerous agencies that are independently looking out for the interests of others. Agencies that are holding accountable organizations that dare violate any of your protected amendments. This is vastly different from Canada where people like myself have NO recourse, no alternatives to hold them accountable.
