I just want to take a second and give a heart via a Shout Out Post to all of the former BOGgers and Obama supporters who no longer post here. Pretty sure we all know at least some of the reasons why:

Though I am so glad to not have to include Cha and nofurylike in that list as they've decided to start posting again, at least in the BOG. (If I've left someone off, PLEASE feel free to add them to this list!)

(By that same token, if there's anyone on the list that should NOT be, please let me know that too!)

When I look at that list, I see some of DU's best and brightest. Funniest, smartest, most interesting people here. Diverse too, representing all ages, races and all walks of life. The fact that they are no longer here is a huge loss for this web site. Many have not been here for years.

I am also struck by the number of black posters in that list that have moved on. There were never many of us here to begin with, but the fact that so many have walked away is extraordinarily telling.
