Though I am so glad to not have to include Cha and nofurylike in that list as they've decided to start posting again, at least in the BOG. (If I've left someone off, PLEASE feel free to add them to this list!)

(By that same token, if there's anyone on the list that should NOT be, please let me know that too!)

When I look at that list, I see some of DU's best and brightest. Funniest, smartest, most interesting people here. Diverse too, representing all ages, races and all walks of life. The fact that they are no longer here is a huge loss for this web site. Many have not been here for years.

I am also struck by the number of black posters in that list that have moved on. There were never many of us here to begin with, but the fact that so many have walked away is extraordinarily telling.

I would be on the list too. I stopped posting about two years ago. I did read LBN every morning though.
LOL and sometimes even alerted on duplicates. Actually DU3 brought me back. I know there are problems still, but I really think Skinner and the other two admins are doing their best. You can tell they worked and thought a lot about the change.

SemiCharmedQuark is another one that I sincerely miss. She was SOOO funny and smart. She was one of several non-black posters that came into AAIG and just made themselves at home and she could do that too because she was REAL. I'll never forget the chats we used to have about Princess and the Frog. And her being a Latina, the lack of her voice and perspective around here is even more missed.
