I wish there were a known place in each city/town/area to report lost or found pets.
We have our town's "Patch" where you can post a notice (local news on internet, in case you haven't encountered it yet); I have seen messages on Craigslist L & F; and some county pounds will put your name & number on their list of found animals if you want to keep a found pet at your house.
