There is a lot of evidence pointing to the "marketing" tactics the early Christians used to gain followers. Some people use these things to split hairs with Christians. The Christmas tree? I don't think that was mentioned in the Bible. I read that Jesus was probably born in late spring.

As a Christian, I think the dates we celebrate things are pretty irrelevant. We celebrate the birth of Christ in December. That's probably not when he was born, but the important thing is that we celebrate his birth.
