(1,372 posts)We have all these fact checkers that differentiate between a slight misrepresentation and
a "pants on fire".
We have even seen that this has gone so far as to have Romney (a presidential candidate)
say that he and his people were not going to run their campaign with true information
just because of fact checkers.
This is cheating - Some people are willing to elect a cheater and expect he/she will not cheat on them.
This is the same as winning a foot race by tripping your opponent.
or plagiarism or lying in court and sending an innocent individual to prison for something they didn't do.
How far do we let this go?
How far do we let our politics and people seeking power and people in power go
before we say, this is enough, this is not acceptable?
And then when these people are caught they get a hand slapped and they go back to the office the next day.
If those are the rules they want to establish then that's the way we'll play the game.
