That power is waning, but it is still quite strong, especially for those who are religious. He is going to face some major hate. I can't help but to feel a little bit of sympathy for him. Growing up and being told your feelings are wrong, immoral, and evil is nothing more than mental and emotional torture. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" is one of the biggest lies still being uttered today.
