(69 posts)23. 7.8 in Canada before Halloween
I've been watching since October 28; a 7.8 in Masset, Canada generated a Tsumani warning in Hawaii. I have cousins there so I watched their local news and all the people trying to evacuate. Ended up not being much.
It does look like a lot of activity around the pacific plate (? is that what it's called). Canada, then Hawaii, then Alaska, Japan, and a couple of days ago Guatamala. My friend's 100-year-old mom had to be moved.
Who can you ask to find out if this is normal or increased activity? Glad my little sis doesn't live in SF right now.
