38. Well most all cell phones have a huge aperture like that

You should know that, it's an inescapable effect of the miniscule focal length - when your lens is 4.1mm from the sensor you don't need a very big hole to get a huge aperture. 5 elements? In a prime lens that tiny? C'mon man, if you really know gear, you'll know that's hype. I'd have been more impressed had they gotten the Zeiss Tessar lens from the Nokia. Looking at sample shots from a few phones, the 5 is better than the SIII but nowhere near the Pureview or the HTC OneX (best phone cam I've ever seen). It's not bad, not at all, but unless you're already invested in iPhototography you'd be better off with a different phone. Or dropping the money on some new "real" glass
