have to charge you with engaging in false equivalence there. There has been no meaningful 'far left' in this country since the late 40s, when HUAC and then McCarthyism smashed it. I wish there were a vibrant and robust 'far left' here and its rennaiscance may still happen in my lifetime. But I'm not holding my breath.
As one example, the Peace and Freedom Party-endorsed candidate for California Senator, Marsha Feinland, received only 1.2% of the vote in the June primary, running against a troglodyte liek Feinstein and even more reprehensible specimens for the Repigs. And Feinland is only moderately left, not 'far left.'
