(11,833 posts)I'm to the left of the mainstream democratic party. I identify mainly as democratic socialist. I believe President Obama and his Administration have done the absolute best they can, given the role of Congress and the mood of voters who keeping electing republicans and wishy washy democrats. I won't bother giving links to all the things his Administration has accomplished. You can find them if you wish. I hope you have a good day. I'm not your enemy.
I don't consider anyone a messiah. Not Obama. Not Hillary. Not Bernie. No president. I just don't believe the presidency is the be all and end all of the three branches of government and the powerful corporate fourth estate. I think we need much more than the presidency to advance a truly liberal or democratic socialist agenda that will be good for our economy and good for all. That will come about best through organizing at local levels, continuing that support through mayoral, city council, statewide, school boards, congressional, all sorts of elections.
