(20,136 posts)Yes, President Obama is a liberal Democrat. He is not a "self-described" "moderate Republican".
A liberal fights for equal rights for all Americans.
A liberal fights for health care reform that has allowed millions to get health care that they were never able to get before and rein in insurance companies.
A liberal ends the ill-begotten wars started by his right-wing predecessor.
A liberal supports women's rights.
A liberal supports veterans and fights to expand the VA budget in the face of hypocritical Republicans who fight against it.
A liberal ends Don't Ask Don't Tell and fights to end DOMA.
A liberal appoints liberals to the Supreme Court.
And on, and on, and on, and on.
Oh and the liberals I know are very smart, in-tune, and know exactly what's going on. And they support President Obama. Your insinuation that any liberal who supports him has to be "ill-informed" (translation: idiots) is quite disgusting.
"No matter what he's done as far as accomplishments..." And there we have it. It doesn't matter what he does, it's not good enough. Thanks for coming right out and saying it.
