that there's a better culture we can go forward to. What I'm really hoping for is a recognition that if you choose to use vulgarity in the wrong context, there will be consequences to pay. It really should be possible to do something imaginative and moving and funny with the Oscars ceremony that's also safe for nine-year-olds to watch. Mr. McFarlane did seem to be bright, charming, quick-witted. I think *he* was wasted doing that material too.
