(53,661 posts)They are fortunately not my district, but we once boasted a triad of women in power with the Governor and both Senators. We fortunately still have a Democratic Governor and Democrats in the House and Senate. Even with that good news, we are currently afflicted with the most virulent anti-intellectual, anti-choice, anti-government baggers. It can happen to any state.
We have earthquakes, floods, mudslides, forest fire infernos, avalanches and other problems here and shamelessly ask for aid for our veterans, disabled, poor and everything else. Democrats believe in maintaining a model good governance to keep our people united, healthy and safe no matter what their party. We believe in those principles and live them.
When people start to speak against our principles, out of prejudice or bitterness, I'm not sure if they know what is in our party's platform. I hope you reconsider your posts on this thead in line with what the Democratic Party stands for and what makes us better than the Republicans.
