Can be spoken today, Hittite for one. At my college roommate's wedding, in the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago, the entire ceremony was in Sumerian and done by Dr. Simo Parpula, a noted Sumerologist. The wife of our Hittite professor, Mrs. Guterbock, sung a wedding song in Hittite whose melody had only recently been translated. It was pretty neat, especially since the wedding party was in costume as we're some of the guests. I went as the Egyptian envoy and had a special part in the ceremony. Like I said, it was neat.

Which version? AnotherMcIntosh Jan 2013 #1
