In reply to the discussion: Romney Had No Votes in Many Urban Precincts [View all]Barack_America
(28,876 posts)43. Romney got 2 votes in the division I worked at in 2008.
For a walloping 0.43% of the vote compared to 452 (98.26%) for Obama.
Jill Stein of the Libertarian Party received double Romney's vote total (4).
Obama actually did slightly worse in the ward overall, compared to 2008 (96.64% in 2008 vs. 96.02% in 2012). However, this was due to higher turnout for the Greens and Libertarians, as Republican votes were also down (McCain 2.72%, Romney 2.48%).

There were, apparently, none. Unless you have access to information these authors don't?

The sad truth is this is probably the result of gerrymandering more than anything else.
