(9,942 posts)26. I saw him say it about 25 times during the campaign. he didn't say "hike" but
he said we need to ask the rich folks to may more taxes (paraphrased) many many times.
every time he said that, he should have just pointed out that we need to return to the Clinton era tax schedule, when we had a growing economy and a budget surplus. and leave it at that.
when he says we need to raise taxes on the rich, it's like saying the tax rates have always been what they are and he wants to raise them for a group of people.
the important point is that we are just returning to what the taxes were in the 90s and it worked great back then.

Too incendiary. "Fair Tax Rates for all" sounds more accurate and acceptable. nt
