In the end there are 617,996 people in DC who pay taxes like the rest of us do and have to obey the same laws. Yet they have no vote in congress.
The constitution is over 200 years old and although most of it has held up against the test of time, the idea behind DC is a bit outdated and should be modernized. Whether it's by declaring DC a state or splitting DC back into the states it was taken from makes no difference to me. But those people need a voice!
