activity in an overwhelming African-American neighborhood. Went to 85 houses and of the 38 who were home, 37 said they'd either already voted or were planning to vote early. One person stopped me and asked if he could still register and vote. I explained the one-stop registration and vote to him, showed him a location not far from his home and he thanked me several times.

BTW, the 47 homes where no one answered got a nice door tag from the Obama campaign and a Dem party voter guide. I gave each of the people I spoke to a voter guide and extras when there was more than one person voting. They were very appreciative of it.
