(135,425 posts)I see their rather cheap and sleazy commercials on late-night TV all the time, interdispersed between the cartoons. They have 90 "campus" locations and an acceptance rate of 93 percent, and our hero read a few books when he was a teen, so he was surely a fine candidate. It is a "for profit" educational institution.
The big question here, though is one you raised in your last paragraph--the media has NOBODY CHECKING AT THE GATE. Why? Are they grabbing this info to make a horse race, to hell with the facts, so they can sell ad time? Or is it even more nefarious?
The media wonders why the kids turn to social media and other sources for news and screen entertainment--but when they fall down on the job this way, who can blame them?
