28. Growing up I was taught that this was defacing

and defaming the flag. I couldn't even have anything that looked remotely like a flag on my clothing for this reason, except for the flag patch on my Girl Scout uniform.

When did that change and why is it so wonderful to wear to flag in such a disgustingly gaudy fashion?
