(62,325 posts)59. The 1st Amendment was written for what that guy was trying to do. This was
a case of the Government restricting his political speech, his right to speak to someone asking the people for the job of representing them. And furthermore, Ryan was in the middle of lying to the American people about the cause of deficit. Aside from his right to question those lies, it was his duty to do so and I for one thank him for shutting Ryan up as he lied.
I hope he does sue, for the violation of his rights and for whatever pain and suffering they caused him.
And we boast about being Democracy? No wonder the Egyptian revolutionaries said they did not want the kind of the Democracy the US brought to Iraq.
