I assume it would have some sort of local oscillator your could scan for but it is the bain of covert investigators everywhere.
If you start messing with the wireless Ethernet, you have to be very good with high end tech. It can be done (theoretically). I have not seen anything on the open market that could do that untraceably.
The key is the awareness of the subject. The vast majority of us go through life oblivious to that kind of thing, myself included.
