Could the cease fire and hostage/prisoner swap happened a month ago if everyone didn't jump on the "Israel bombed a hospital " bandwagon? There were plans to meet several Arab leaders but false information caused them to cancel planned meetings with Biden.
I do not believe it was anything but a tragic accident but the rush to deny evidence and blame Israel may have indirectly may have led to thousands of unnecessary casualties.
Houthis say Israeli ships 'legitimate target,' as threat to global shipping grows
Israeli ships are a legitimate target, Yemens Iran-backed Houthi rebels warned on Monday after their seizure of an Israel-linked cargo vessel opened a new dimension in Israels war against Hamas.
Sundays capture of the Galaxy Leader and its 25 international crew members came days after the Iran-backed Houthis threatened to target Israeli shipping over the Israel-Hamas war.
The Houthis have fired several ballistic missiles and drones at Eilat since the beginning of the war last month, all of which were intercepted or missed their targets. One of the surface-to-surface missiles was shot down by Israels most advanced air defense system, the Arrow 3, marking the systems first successful interception of a missile.
The Houthis have said they are acting as part of the axis of resistance against Israel, which includes Iran-backed terror groups in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. The Yemeni rebel groups slogan is God is great, death to America, death to Israel, curse on the Jews, victory for Islam.
So is this an act of war or just piracy?

Russia's Devastating New Weapon Hits Enemy Positions in War's First: Video
Russia has used modified cluster bombs as glide weapons against Ukrainian forces in the south of the war-torn country for the first time, new footage and reports appear to show.
In a clip widely circulating online, published on the Telegram messaging app by a Russian channel thought to be linked to Moscow's military, what looks to be a cluster munitions strike across the Ukrainian countryside shows dozens of almost simultaneous explosions. However, there are few details available about the footage, and it could not be independently verified by Newsweek.
The Russian Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian General Staff have been approached for comment via email.
Russia's influential community of milbloggers reported on Sunday that Moscow's troops had carried out a "large airstrike" with RBK-500 cluster bombs that had been adapted to act as glide bombs in south Donetsk, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said on Sunday.

As outrage grows over fate of babies in Gaza hospital, Israel offers incubators and fuel
As outrage grows over reports of babies dying and a mass grave being dug at Gazas Al-Shifa hospital, Israel has publicly indicated a desire to mitigate the crisis there not by ending the siege but by offering fuel and mobile incubators.
On Sunday night, the Israel Defense Forces released footage appearing to show soldiers depositing 300 liters (about 79 gallons) of fuel at Al-Shifas entrance and announced an evacuation route for people in the complex to flee. On Monday came a pledge that the IDF would coordinate the delivery of incubators to Al-Shifa, following reports that premature babies there had to be removed from their incubators because of power shortages. Then on Tuesday, the IDF shared a photo of a female soldier helping load mobile incubators into a van, which an IDF spokesperson said would be used to transfer at-risk infants out of the hospital.
We are trying to bring in incubators that can help transfer babies out of Shifa Hospital to other places down south, which will help safeguard the babies in the hospital, IDF spokesman, Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, said.
The IDF said in a briefing later on Tuesday that the incubators had come from Israels Tel Hashomer Hospital and are intended to be used to move premature babies to a safer space. Asked how they will be delivered to Al-Shifa, spokesman Lt. Col. Amnon Shefler said coordination with the hospital has not yet been completed.
What is keeping the Israelis from simply bring supplies right to the front door? Is the Palestinian Health Ministry refusing to accept aid?
How to save Al Shifa hospital
-Declare a four hour cease fire 5km around the hospital
-set one of the cardinal directions as a safe route
-anyone may travel out without being hindered in any way
-after the four hours the hospital is declared open and Israeli troops may enter to see the hospital is serving no military purpose
-Israel or the UN then takes direct responsibility for keeping the hospital operating and supplied
Al Jazeera, being the only major media available in Gaza, will accompany and live stream along side the IDF.
The world can watch and see if Hamas has been illegally using the hospital or if the reports are wrong. Either way the fighting around the hospital ends and patients can receive care.
For Armistice Day- November 11
Lemmy Kilmister of Mötorhead watched a documentary on the Battle of the Somme in 1990 and it inspired him to write a ballad for their album 1916. In 2023 the Swedish band Sabaton released a cover of the song with a video.
While few of us veterans alive today have seen such carnage as the Somme, they will understand. It is worth watching.
Take care all vets
Antisemitism- November 9-10
1938
Approximately 30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps
There are important lessons to be drawn from Kristallnacht, for it served as a bridge experience for both Jews and Nazis. For the Jews, there was the terrifying realization that political antisemitism can lead to violence, even in Western Civilization. It also demonstrated that apathy can still pervade the world when the lives of Jews or other minorities are threatened.
For the Nazis, Kristallnacht taught that while the world might condemn their pogroms, it would not actively oppose them. World opinion, however, taught the Nazis the value of secrecy in the perpetration of future actions against Jews. Added to the complaints of Germans offended by the random violence of Kristallnacht, the stage was set for the "Final Solution"--the organized, bureaucratically efficient genocide of 6,000,000 men, women, and children.
In retrospect, Kristallnacht was more than the shattering of windows and illusions. It portended the physical destruction of European Jewry. As such, this commemoration must be observed both as a memorial and as a warning.

After migrant parent pressure, Anne Frank daycare center to be renamed - report
Parents in Saxony-Anhalt German State promoted the decision to rename the "Anne Frank" daycare center in Tangerhütte, a small town in the state, according to reports in German media.
The move was driven by parents who found it difficult to explain Frank's significance to their children. According to Apollo News, a German news site, in a small town in Saxony-Anhalt, a daycare center has become the center of a local scandal.
The "Anne Frank" daycare center in Tangerhütte, which has been operating for generations, is set to undergo a name change. The decision to rename the daycare center, named after the most famous Jewish girl, has sparked controversy.
The idea of changing of name of Frank, who tragically died in a concentration camp at the age of 15, has come from migrant parents, according to the daycare center's director. "It is reported that parents with migrant backgrounds feel uncertain about the name and find it challenging to explain to their children," the report said.

According to Andreas Brohm (independent), mayor of Tangerhütte, the name change is accompanied by a new concept. The daycare center is now more open than before and promotes the children's self-determination and diversity much more strongly. It is important to the institution to make this conceptual change visible to the outside world, says Brohm. In view of the war in the Middle East, he sees no need to discuss the name again: If parents and employees want a name that better reflects the new concept, that has more weight compared to the global political situation.
