Why I believe the Bulletproof Squirrels are playing Austin City Limits this year.
Louisiana Woman Makes Claim Of Bulletproof Squirrel Surviving Getting Shot
COVINGTON, LA (WGNO) A squirrel on the North Shore is alive and still gathering nuts after apparently taking a bullet.
How is he alive? How did that bullet get there? wonders scenic and wildlife photographer Christine Regusa, who discovered the bullet-proof squirrel in her Covington backyard.
Regusa took a photograph that shows what appears to be a 22 caliber bullet dangling from behind the squirrels right arm, I was on the bench over there. Squirrel was right by the tree. Didnt even look at the picture after I took it until the next night. Then I realized, oh, no! Its a bullet!
She dubbed the neighborhood varmint, Bullet Squirrel.

Maldives Police Take Coconut Into Custody Under Suspicion It Is Magical
A coconut has been detained by Maldivian police on suspicion of vote-rigging in a key presidential election.
The coconut, described as "young", was found near a school that will be used as a polling station on Saturday on the remote Kaafu atoll, one of the hundreds of islands that comprise the Indian Ocean archipelago state.
Though the population of the Maldives is Sunni Muslim, continuing belief in magic is widespread in rural areas. Coconuts are often used in rituals and inscribed with spells.
The hundreds of thousands of international tourists who travel to the Maldives usually stay in isolated resorts and have no contact with local people other than staff.
The local Minivan news website reported that police "took the coconut into their possession" around 7.05am on Tuesday, after they received a complaint about the suspicious fruit near the school on the Guraidhoo Island, which lies 130 miles from the capital, Male, and has a population of around 2,000.

The Building That Set A Car On Fire Also Nearly Set A Reporter On Fire
Londons skyline has a new addition this week: the Walkie Scorchie. Joining the crowded group of glass protrusions, such as the Shard, the Gherkin, and the Cheesegrater, is 20 Fenchurch Street, which had previously been known as the Walkie Talkie, on account of it looking vaguely like a gigantic two-way radio.
But the 37-storey office block, due to be completed next year, has gained a new sinister reputation: the death ray, the fryscraper, the Walkie Scorchie.
Its south-facing concave facade conspires to concentrate and reflect the suns rays into an intense beam of shimmery light, hitting the buildings on the opposite side of the road. Along a 30-yard stretch of pavement at Eastcheap just a Molotov cocktails throw from where the Great Fire of 1666 started Londons burning.

Woman Forced To Wait 8 Years Before Retrieving Diamond Swallowed By Chicken
Claire Lennon, 38, of Berkshire, will not be able to recover the £300 diamond until her six-month old chicken Sarah gets old and dies.
Vets say the jewel, which was given to Miss Lennon by her partner Adam de Marco, is trapped inside Sarah's stomach and an operation to retrieve it could put the bird's life in danger.
Sarah could potentially live another eight years, forcing her owner to wait almost a decade for the return of the gift.

British Woman Has Stroke, Begins Speaking With Chinese Accent
When Sarah Colwill, 38, was hospitalized for an intense migraine in 2010, she awoke to an astounding soundher voice.
Her familiar English accent had been replaced by what sounded like a poor impression of a Chinese person, leaving doctors scratching their heads.
Her predicament was a side effect of a rare neurological condition called Foreign Accent Syndrome.
Colwill is one of just 150 confirmed cases ever of FAS, according to the Independent. The condition is most often caused by damage to the brain brought on by a stroke or traumatic brain injury, UT Dallas reports.

Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto V is guaranteed to move units, but the developers aren't resting on their laurels in their attempt to build the most comprehensive crime world yet. Take the voice acting rather than traditional professionals, Rockstar is using "actual, real gang members" where possible.
""One had literally gotten out of prison the day before.""
Contributing writer, talk show host, and in-game DJ "Lazlow" Jones revealed the information on Chicago's WGN radio station, explaining: "We get these guys in to record the gang characters because we don't want a goofy LA actor who went to a fancy school trying to be a hard gang member. There's nothing worse than that, so just go find the real terrifying people and say 'can you come in here please?'"
