guy cooks bacon by wrapping on assault rifle and firing it 90 times

Well, you’re in luck, because this guy made a video featuring all four. In a recent video tutorial, gun enthusiast Dustin Ellermann shows you how to cook bacon using an M16 assault rifle. Why? Because this is America, that’s why. And Americans have the freedom to do what they want (and cook their delicious fatty pork however they want).
Here’s the low-down on how to prepare bacon the way our forefathers intended: Ellermann wraps uncooked bacon around the barrel of his rifle, covers it with aluminum foil, and then cooks it by firing almost 90 rounds in a row.

The method, known as the “gun grill,” takes about three minutes to transform raw bacon into sizzling perfection. Perfectly cooked gun-smoked bacon is best accompanied by a cold glass of beer, a round of fist pumps, and declarations of “’Merica! Heck yeah!”

they can cost between $10,000 and $20,000. The only full-auto weapons legal to own are those registered in 1986 or before, that is why they are so expensive. The owner has to go through an extensive background check and pay a $200 fee.

The cost is probably why full-auto weapons are never used in crime. There is only one instance of full-auto weapons used in a crime in the last 30 years that I can think of is the North Hollywood shootout in 1997.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Hollywood_shootout

FYI, assault rifles are capable of automatic fire and reqire the same licensing as that M-16. AR-15s are not capable of automatic firing.

I self deleted earlier a part of that reason, a photo of the very device that the image for the OP's link reminded me of. I deleted it because it really was unDUworthy in that kids might have seen it. That said, it is a sex device, a dildo mounted on a saws-all and it reminded me greatly of the image that fronts the OP's link. If you care to look for yourself, Google F**ksall and you'll find them without too much effort but there is a lot of graphic porn listed there too so be advised.

The thought that some feel that guns can be phallic symbolism was further not lost on me. I get it that to some, guns are thought to be size of penis envy and to others ANYONE who thinks that sort of stuff about gun owners is nuts. Well I can not own a gun, I find that whole, 'debate' amusing anyway.

Putting the two together was highly amusing to me which was why I posted it. If for instance someone were to digitally replace the gun in that above link with the device I spoke about and reposted it here I would laugh till tears came out...then hit the alert button because it wouldn't at all be appropriate. I have no doubts that a great many here would find such an image hilarious while a great many others (from the gungeon I suspect) would find it offensive!

Is it because you are a felon, or do you suffer from mental issues.

That you see a phallic symbol and put such an effort into your porn 'research' says more about you than anything else.

Wow. Well let's see if I can clear up those questions for you. FWIW I was at first offended by how you put that second one but....well read on if you would be so kind or not if pre-conceived judgementalism is your thing.

#1. I DO have a very real clinically assessed mental illness. I have a long history of manic depression and this is complicated with PTSD. Owning a gun would be dangerous, not only to myself but to others as well. IMO folks with my particular illness shouldn't even be allowed to drive an automobile either-I KNOW that I am not a stable driver. In both cases my shrinks agree with me on my assessment. Sadly, the forces of capitalism in it's cancer state in our democracy prevents a great deal of aid for our society. There appear to be no regulations dealing with the protection of the diseased individual or the society itself from those so diseased on any horizon as far as I can tell. I DO have a drivers license and should I want one I can with greater ease get a gun with all the blessing the NRA can muster for my getting one. (Handing me a lit stick of dynamite might be a bit more humane and safer if the handler backs away but where's the profit in that huh?)

The capitalists* who profit from firearms use the Second Amendment to hold our society in check. This status quo makes each of us victims. Don't you think it at all odd that here in the DU the question is asked over and over, "Why do folks vote Republican when clearly it is against their own self interest?" That same question is applicable to the so called gun debate. The answer is definitely exactly the same too. Neither believes their position is against their own self interest and they both defend their positions with equal fervor...well up and to the point that position harms them economically or physically and even then some deny the cause of their loss!
*(using capitalists here in both it's literal sense: $ to make $ and in it's traditionally used sense: products to make $)

#2. for over a decade I was a photographer working in the Seattle Tacoma music industry.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=280x31221
I worked with literally hundreds of bands, one of which was a touring band out of Tampa Fla known as the Genitorturers. http://www.genitorturers.com/home.html . They become germane to this response for two reasons. The first reason is that they had as a theme the shaking up of up-tight Victorian beliefs that still permeate much of our society when it comes to sex. Here is lead singer 'Gen' on the topic:

As a society we are indeed going through a change when it comes to our sexuality. As you well know, where a few of decades ago, 'coming out of the closet' was a very scary-intimidating thing for most gays, today it is almost a 'meh' thing as more and more states are accepting gay marriage as the right and natural thing to do. Your suggestions as to my personal sex life, meant as insultive, show that you are yet mired in that old repressive culture. For this I feel sorry for you and recommend to you to try opening up your mind a bit-allow to yourself that others choose to not be repressed. Just as it makes one look racist to verbally judge others by their race it is equally stupid, arguably sexist in many cases to judge others by their sex and what they find 'sexy'.

The second thing about the Genitortures germane to this response is that it was at their show where I first saw a great number of mechanical sex devices to include that particular f**ksall one. Most of these devices got used during the show btw, I will admit to being shocked at first but as a photographer....well I made sure to pay attention to the band's uniqueness because doing so stood me well with all bands I worked with. Besides, I liked their music so much that I went to at least 4 of their shows and came away with some great imagery!

To sum up my second point: FWIW I know about that particular device because of my work in the Music Industry, if instead I was aware of it because I hung out online looking at porn or because I owned one or whatever, it really and truly shouldn't be a problem for you!

I am of the opinion that you are active in the 'gun debate'. I further suspect that you and I would strongly disagree on many issues within that debate-I am OK with that. I stay out of the Gungeon because the fervor and fanaticism I would face there is almost more than I can handle-especially considering my handicap. (The exact same problem I face over at Discussionist btw which is why I seldom post there anymore). All I am asking of you is that you accept that I see the world different than you do and not to try to pick a fight with me because of it....is that too much to ask? Hopefully you've clicked the links and come to know me better, it is not my intention to be confrontational. I am snarky to some degree and oftentimes others here just don't get it-that's cool by me because I don't get everyone else all the time either.

Well now that you got me remembering the Genitorturers, here is one of my favorite songs by them: Terrorvision (btw, note the photo of an updated version of that f**cksall between the 1:02-1:08 min mark).

I spent 22 years living in that part of the world and yet I find it safer living in Wilmington, a city that Newsweek says is one of the most dangerous cities in the country. Yet I have had nothing but good times living here, never once felt unsafe living here. Of course I never have been bullied living here, never had anyone say to my face ' your Daddy is in hell because you listen to Satan's music' (my father passed away when I was 13), never been around drunks who thought shooting guns was a fun thing to do on a Saturday night, never been to a party where inhaling gasoline from a garbage bag was the highlight of the night, never had a date first take me to a trailor where everyone sat around and smoked meth first (luckily no one objected when I said 'no thanks').

So you see, the country life isn't all that safe like people want you to believe. I remember last time I was in the rural part of the state and was reading the local newspaper - I thought it was interesting that the front page of the local newspaper was no different than mine. Story after story of all the people commiting crimes although interestingly enough every single photo of the criminals were all white people.
