Connecticut governor slams Mike Pence: ‘When you see a bigot, you have to call them on it’
Source: RawStory
Connecticuts Gov. Dannel Malloy appeared on Tuesdays edition of Morning Joe to decry Indianas Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and the states Republican Gov. Mike Pence for signing it.
Malloy who is the incoming chairman of the Democratic Governors Association said that Pence can deny the laws anti-LGBT thrust all he wants to. It is clear to anyone who is paying attention what the RFRA is about.
The governors not a stupid man, but hes done stupid things, said Malloy to Mika Brzezinski, and signing this law, and, quite frankly, promoting this law, knowing exactly what it was going to do, was an incredibly stupid thing for him to do.
Pence, Malloy said, knew exactly what he was doing, and when you see a bigot, you have to call them on it.

(1,606 posts)SAYS ENOUGH.
Pence absolutely knew the intent of what he was signing. To invite the most loathsome and intolerant bigots to the edge of his desk to celebrate this bill is proof crystal clear of just what this is about.
It's pure and simple, crystal clear. No amount of pretending otherwise absolves this cretin of the FACT.

(18,791 posts)Exactly! I just posted the same...he claims he knew nothing and was in that CLOSED DOOR SIGNING posing with the Hate Crowd.
Can't lie your way out of that picture, Gov. INtolerance!

(41,131 posts)incensed when I heard it. The demonizing and 'treatment' espoused by these religious groups and faux healers are highly significant and it's not being covered enough, especially on cable TV news.

He was on fire today, and he supported the Connecticut law that is similar, but different, that has been on the books for more than 20 years. In Connecticut there is ALSO an anti=discrimination law that the "religious freedom" law does not override.
Great job by Governor Malloy!
