I thought Washington did too, no?
Regardless, this is awesome. Especially since the religious fanatics and gop are using Connecticut as an example of one of the states with the same law. Buzzfeed has some examples of the best reactions to the discriminatory law. 34. Yes, we have the "same" law, BUT we also have a law that prohibits...
...discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, among other things.
I believe Connecticut was the first to have these laws, passed more than 20 years ago. Off the subject, but Connecticut is also the first state to create a Commission on Human Rights and Opportunity (equivalent to the Federal EEOC) |

42. I used bad wording there
I know that none of the other state's laws called RFRA are as blatantly obvious in the purpose to discriminate. Similar should have been the word, not same. Even Texas isn't as bad as indiana's.

18. Would he have signed this executive order if the UCONN MBB team was heading to this year's Final 4?
This was an easy move by Gov. Malloy this year. I doubt he would have pissed off UCONN fans if the MBB team was on it way to defend it's 2014 title in Indianapolis this year.
He's called for the NCAA to move next year's WBB Final 4 from Indianapolis. It will be interesting to see what the NCAA does if IN's law remains on the books. |

I have no idea of Gov Malloy would be willing to piss off UConn fans if things were different, Larkspur, but, I like what he had to say about his EO against discrimination. And, he was the first State.. now we have Washington and I don't know of any others.
