SF middle school cancels meeting with Ariz. sheriff (Arpaio)

The man considered to be the toughest sheriff in America is visiting San Francisco and he's trying to figure out whether students at a local middle school sent him hate mail. Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio wanted to clear it up with school officials Friday morning.

Also known as the most controversial sheriff in America, Arpaio might now also qualify as the most frustrated sheriff in America. Some of the letters are pretty much perfectly typed. Others exhibit almost adult-quality penmanship but the words, all in Spanish, allegedly from students from San Francisco's James Lick Middle School sent to the sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona Joe Arpaio, were designed to hurt.

"Then they said I had concentration camps with my tent city that I put up 20 years ago. Then, I'm a racist and I break up families, that I just go after brown people," Arpaio said.

"I'm concerned about parents giving the wrong message to their kids, and even teachers in schools because this class had to be controlled by a teacher," he said.

Huh. Another thread at DU shows Arpaio getting trolled by a bunch of masked protesters at his Thursday night dinner in SF. And this story about the middle school incident I found on facebook from a conservative friend complaining: "The liberal establishment brain washes children from year zero and then when they are confronted with the truth they shield children from it."

Turns out the sheriff was in the Bay Area to speak at an alarm association convention. He even said he was disappointed not to see many protesters when he went out to dinner.

Unfortunately as my friend's facebook post proves, the way the school allegedly handled things with Arpaio unfortunately will continue to stir anti-public school resentment among average Joe and Jane Americans...even in the left-leaning Bay Area.

country around the globe. If he's upset over what those kids said about him, he should hear what people in other countries have to say about him.

I thought he was being prosecuted for corruption btw, what happened to that?

And I hope he lands in his pink underwear in one of his own tents.

Karma can sometimes seem cruel, but never unjust.

The cowardly, corrupt Sheriff who hopefully soon will be spending time in one of his tents dressed in pink and black and white stripes where he belongs.

Great kids, who know a bad guy when they see one. Kids have great instincts.
