If this is true we need a way to force companies to raise wages

ATTN GOP SENATORS: Walmart Is The Largest Food Stamp Recipient In The Country—Fine Them!

<snip>Walmart's intentionally low wages force hard-working employees to need approximately $420,000 per year, per store, totalling $2.66 BILLION annually in Food Stamps and other taxpayer assistance ... to survive.

Walmart's intentionally low wages cost the country HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in payroll tax deductions for Federal, State, and Local taxes.

Walmart's intentionally low wages cost our communities the ability to hire and retain important public service workers like firefighters, police officers, maintenance workers, and teachers. snip

Walmart's intentionally low wages and lack of covered benefits cost taxpayers over $1.02 BILLION a year in healthcare costs. snip

That's not Welfare for People, That's Welfare for Walmart at The People's expense!

----------------------------------------------------------------

No one should have to work and still depend on food stamps and subsidized health care. This is bullshit! People who are working need to be paid enough that they are contributing to pay into our social programs and pay for our public employees. No one who is working should need to depend on government assistance. This needs to come to a stop if it is true. Higher minimum wage or something. At least $15 dollars an hour.

Anyone know if this is all true?

Only a lot of people are inexplicably against them - including the current 'dem' administration.

But I don't think that this administration has been especially friendly to teachers' unions.
