How confident are you that Gaddafi's son and grandchildren were actually killed?

Lots of folks seem to have accepted this story as fact, in spite of the fact that the only source is the Libyan regime itself - which has not been known for its strict adherence to the truth.

Has anyone confirmed this story other than the Libyan government spokesman?

Context is everything. Qadaffi has the blood of innocents on his hands. So far, I haven't seen anything from those incensed over affrontery to a sovereign nation concerning the rights of those who perished in the bombing and crash-landing of Pan Am Flight 103.
