And next Wednesday's protest is gaining momentum. I know I'll be there - and rumor has it that Ed Schultz might be there too.

1. The EMF is a playground for corruption.
Cronies and kulaks will be appointed to make decisions that are straight-away dictatorial with no input from The People.

All done under the cover of Enabling Acts that allow the State government to do things which when done by the British were causes for the American revolution. How bad can this get? Very bad.

No publicly held asset will be safe from pillaging, indeed everything that looks like a pile of money is going to be raided by the privateers.

2. The actions by this new wave
of Republican governors are profit motivated. They seek to privatize the various common goods around the states. Mostly these sales will be in the interest of enriching wealthy donors. Just like Bush and Cheney did in Iraq with KBR and Halliburton.

This is simply criminality done with the understanding that there will be no investigation or prosecution.

3. This is a "for profit" land grab and little more.

4. Repeat
In her piece we learn these facts about Benton Harbor and its twin city next door, St. Joseph.

St. Joseph
Population 8,508
Demographic 89.5% white
Per capita income $33,034

Benton Harbor
Population 10,235
Demographic 85.5% black
Per capita income $10,235

We also learn that one of the best parts of Benton Harbor is Jean Klock Park, donated by wealthy benefactors years ago with the stipulation that it be used for the public good and that it remain "the children's" park.
