Arizona is at it again - will this move set a precedent for GOP strategy?
From an outside poll -

A new law has just been sent to Arizona's half-wit governor that will put doctors in jail if they perform any abortion based on the sex or race of the fetus ... Of course, this bill isn't about discrimination ... They're just finding clever ways of attacking abortion rights -- ways that, interestingly, are aimed at putting every Arizona abortion provider in jail. And all in the name of defeating sexism and racism!

This is a wolf of a law in sheep's clothing. Is it a harbinger of GOP policy to come?

What's next? Only allowing NPR to broadcast in sign language out of deference to the deaf?

How do YOU think the GOP will dress up their next conservative cause in liberal clothing?

The DU group must have some clever ideas.

2. I would like to think that would be a valid excuse for them.
Why do you think they don't fight back enough, though? I mean the reason for their behavior in these rather crucial matters that are sweeping the country, turning back the clock and creating a very dark future for us all.

Is this a matter of complacency or being complicit?

For myself, it is a matter of money and status. The big money rules now and a large part of the "leaders" go with it because it can be lucrative to them and going against the grain could mean sacrifice and black marks.

We only have a few on a list that actually and consistently address what we, as a majority, need and want. Again, hats off to them, including: Al Franken, Bernie Sanders, and the members of the Progressive Caucus. I am sure others here have favorites that they could highlight, just so we could contrast with those who are selling-out.

4. True!
However; it's not that Democrats don't fight back enough.

It's how we choose to fight back against the likes of the Republicans. As we witnessed in November 2010 Democrats and Moderates decided to fight back by not voting because they wanted to punish the Democratic party.....not the Republicans who obstructed moving forward in this country.

Maybe when our side decides that our fellow Democratic party members no matter what end of the spectrum are not the enemy and that we will kick the Republican's ass when are are one party with diverse views instead of a splintered party.

5. How cynical but typical of those lawmakers.
It's like a pickpocket who shakes your hand and gives you a big smile while reaching in your back pocket. This probably will become a new standard in legislation.

With 1 job available for every unemployed people, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended benefits for those left in the cold because it's character building.
