Um...another piece of the attack on teachers just surfaced in my head. I'm sure others have talked about this but I want to get some feedback and start a discussion.

I have seen several references to the Right Wing trying to take control of school boards across the nation. It just clicked that, when I signed my teaching contract it was approved by the board. If this new push on making teachers reapply for their jobs takes hold, well, then the school board is suddenly given the opportunity to completely replace any teacher who doesn't tow their RW agenda. Tenure has kept teachers safe in the past from attack from the RW.

Thank you to a certain florida DUer who has been posting some amazing information in respect to education.

If we lose teacher tenure then the RW has a direct line of control over education. They will replace the union teachers with new RW anti-union teachers and therein could lie the death of one of the largest and most educated unions.

Yikes peeps!! Wake up and make some phone calls to support teacher tenure!

3. The right wing has been discussing how they will not win till they ruin both
education and the media. There is another culprit here. The Mormon Church has been doing thusly. They are aiming at local level politics. They run much of our intelligence services. I am just waiting for the reight wing and Mormons to join forces.

4. yikes
though...where I grew up the really really Christian kids and the really really Mormon kids really hated each other. They would debate and debate and just get madder and madder. I'd liked to think they would grow out of it when they matured.
