Why is this news?
New Arizona homeowner: Bristol Palin
Daughter of former Alaska governor buys 5-bedroom house for $172,000 in cash

MARICOPA, Ariz. — Bristol Palin, the 20-year-old daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has purchased a five-bedroom house in an Arizona suburb, The Arizona Republic reported Friday.

The 4,000-square-foot house in Maricopa was built in 2006 and purchased for $329,560 at the time, according to public records. The property had been in foreclosure earlier this year. Bristol Palin bought it this month from Michael and Cynthia Smith for $172,000 in cash, the Republic reported. She was the sole purchaser, paperwork shows.

According to real estate websites, the house is a two-level, brown stucco with a tile roof and a landscaped front and back yard. It doesn't have its own swimming pool, but there is a community pool.

It wasn't immediately known if the "Dancing With the Stars" contestant will be a seasonal visitor or live in Arizona full-time.

2. Only because it it is friggen strange
Good for her in buying the house.

What I can't figure out is why a 20 year old would buy a place 40 miles from any type of cultural center. Tempe is 40 miles away, she is in the middle of the desert but if she wants to find some meth labs she probable has a dozen within 10 miles.

4. Because it requires no investigation, is inconsequential and
sucks up air time from pertinent and important news. It's just infotainment at its worst. Just one more indication that corporate media has canceled the news. In today's environment you have to know if you don't search for pertinent news you'll never get it.
