8 or 9 legislative republicans who pushed this in a year.

That will tell you if this really made a difference.

I am skeptical. Most of the problems we are experiencing today can be laid on republican policies since reagan. The midterms perhaps indicates that either people have short memories or are just plain naive. The repukes have been quite honest since reagan, then have declared war against labor and civil rights, in favor of corporations over people.

Yes, some Democrats became lazy and didn't fight, but the fact is, this has been the republican mission for quite some time

If there are enough signatures to get recalls on the ballot in Wisconsin in a year, no matter what the results, it will be a significant turning point, and we will have won.

However, if they are unable to get enough signatures to get a recall for these people on the ballot, then nothing has been learned, and the corporate takeover of the country is complete

2. They can do both - pass around the recall signature sheets while they are protesting.
Solidarity, still_one - this fight has just started.

6. Then we will win. Labor cannot forget what happened here. This is not just a fight for labor, but
also a fight for civil rights

5. Yes, but don't forget
The main reason republicans took control of Wisconsin, and other states, is because some democrats didn't bother to "VOTE"! They wanted to send President Obama a "sign" that they were not happy with him. Now we can see what the results of that were, and it was not good! People need to realize that no matter how upset they because things they wanted didn't come to be, letting a republican take control is far, far worse, and we can see that now, even though it's to late to change it!

11. WTF? You can't be talking about Wisconsin
Our Democrats have been loud, outspoken and visible the last three weeks. They're generating news, they're spreading the word, they're organizing protests, their raising money and establishing recalls.

No one can legitimately knock Wisconsin Democrats.

14. Not knocking WI...Dems they did a great job...but
I think most knew WI was just the beginning...and one would have thought we would hve seen more happening other states to get ready .......but it didn't happen in my State...I think a couple of rallies took place but never even found out how many attended....I don't know about the rest of you but I'm, mad...really mad. Yesterday I went to the TNDP parties web site, it really made me sick....no news....no plans being formulated, ane we have new people joining every day, and I don't believe they are doing so because they have time to kill, my guess is they are looking for leadership.....

3. yes...but this is going on in 22 states!
in their game plan they might be totally happy to gut the unions of five or six states and then just keep chip chip chipping away for ten more years.

It is time to take corporations out of government. "We the peeps"....not "We the peeps for Coca Cola" (sorry coke...you are tasty but I needed an example)

8. Many people don't remember, but it was due to Unions and labor where we got child labor laws, safe
conditions at the work place, minimum wage, overtime pay, etc.

We will have to fight those battles again, it is as simple as that

4. I think you may be amazed. I believe there will be enough names
actually more than enough names on the recall petitions for the eight Republican Senators within one month. I think there is an election coming up in a few months and those eight Senators could be out of office before the New Year..When the farmers are in a huff then you know people there are pissed...Once the Dairy farmers get on board it is almost a sure thing..Count the tractors that arrive in Madison on Saturday and you will have a good indication of what is going to happen..Farmers are the salt of the earth according to Republicans, so they carry influence.

12. Wow, you're right on top of this one. You do realize that we are already working hard here in WI
to accomplish all of this and have been for the last couple of weeks? I'm sure you know that the governor cannot be recalled until January of 2012, but we are still working on that. In the meantime we are hard at work gathering the signatures needed to recall the 8 Republicans senators who are eligible to be recall. This week I signed the petition to recall my Republican state senator, Dan Kapanke.

15. What nerve you have. "The only way Wisconsin will mean something"
TO YOU.

You are certainly free to express your opinions.

As I am free to state that your view is extremely self serving as you use the situation to grind your own axe.

I hope more good comes out of this ultimately. For WI and the US and humanity in general.

But I'm not going to have a freaking laundry list of results ready to gauge the events' meaning.

16. I heard last night that they already have two thirds of the signatures needed.
They expect to have more than the amount needed before the end of the month and there is an election coming up in a few months.. It is quite possible that a few of those Senators will be out of Office before the year end.
