The Democratic Base is under attack and they remain silent.

Time to flood their email, faxes and phones.

5. My email:

Where the hell are you? The working class is under attack all across America AND YOU REMAIN SILENT?

Just a reminder - this is your base. Do you really think that people are going to volunteer their time and their money to you when you were MIA when we needed you the most??

Shame!!

8. Sent them this:
Um.. I know you are busy but if you have time there is a minor issue that needs attention. It's nothing huge, just the future of workers rights in America. So if you can get out of that breakfast meeting a little quicker today, if you can spare a few minutes, the workers of America would love to see just a modicum of support on this very minor issue. But hey, I know you are busy and this really isn't anything to worry about, it's not like the people are getting angry or anything..
Thank you for your time.

14. I just wasted 3 minutes of my time
I asked that question on every issue they have on their little drop down menu. "Where the hell are you?"

Using the "Back" button on my browser helped shorten the time.

They've already shown they're deaf to 99% of the requests from their base, so I doubt this type of effort will do any good.

16. Done! Here's mine:
Is this organization not taking the lead or helping with anything going on in WI, MI, and the other states? Do Democrats not stand with the working man? For "Change that matters" get in the freaking fight.

Also, I stopped donating to the Democratic party a while back. If you want me and people like me back, this is your chance.

Sincerely,

17. emails, faxes, and phone calls do not accomplish anything
Did Egyptians call or email Mubarak?
Are Libyans in the streets waiting on line to get to a pay phone so they can call?

Emails get deleted, faxes get trashed, and calls go unanswered.

Why do you bother to have a web page on what we as Democrats stand for, when you do absolutely nothing to organize when we are attacked? Could it be that this Party is also too beholden to the corporate interests that are threatening us in Wisconsin and 21 other states on the issues? Shame on us if that is the case.

There is a reason that so many of us no longer donate to the Party and instead send our money to individual candidates. It is hard to think about even volunteering if the national Democratic party can't even make statements of support for those toiling in 22 states to fight this Republican assault blatantly intended to smash unions. This is our base Republicans are attacking. Where are You?

22. My less then eloquent email
So where are the Democrats from the National Level? Why are you not in WI? Why are you not standing with the workers? Will you be expecting money, volunteering, support from us in the coming years?

I am incredibly disappointed in my party, from the President, to Congress.... you are failing us all.

Why is that? Money from the corporations to keep your power just to darned tempting? Because that is sure what it looks like to those of us in the middle/working class.

Tax breaks for the rich- cuts in programs for the poor.

Shame. Shame. Shame.

And please let the President know that we know... "Comfortable shoes" indeed..... what a load of crap he sold us.
