I think the repugs have killed themselves by union busting the way they did and for the 14 to return would only allow them to pass the rest of what they want. It just seems like it would be best if they stayed where they are for now.

1. Agreed, I saw that and I'm trying to understand it.
Does anyone know if this is true?

8. Has it?
Don't get me wrong, the union busting is as un-American as it gets but I thought there were a lot of other just as bad things in the bill... I do have to admit, I can not recall them off the top of my head (sorry, been drinking already :) )

5. They shouldn't even cross the borders of Wisconsin
Let them stay out and let the lawyers make the simple fact that the bill was passed unconstitutionally - a violation of the open meeting laws.

Also, sue the Republicans for failure to pay the Democrats their wages that the people have been paying their taxes on.

6. The damage is done, it's time to come home.
They have been so very brave, staying away from home and loved ones for over 2 weeks. It's time to come home, the votes been cast. They can do more damage to the Walker agenda at home.

13. Haha Jon Erpenbach just proved me wrong!! re: his facebook
Ok folks -- very quick update. First of all, we are NOT coming home. All of us. The bill that they passed in the Senate, taking away workers rights among other things, still has to go to the Assembly.

We are not caving and coming back because the Senate Republicans can still play games. If we come back before this passes the Assemb...ly, they could call us into session and pass the budget repair bill.

11. The unions alread caved in on the other issues, no point in staying away
BUT there is a leadership void.

It would be very a mistake to let an angry crowd decide how to proceed.

We need leadership, we need good planning and implementation. Some of the legal actions will need to be done by the Dem Senators.

15. When did the UNIONS CAVE?!!
They might have agreed to other terms during a debate. But the didn't cave on a single fucking thing.

I think you should rethink your language use.

20. THey don't want to.
The local Unions have already come out and said they don't mind the fiscal concessions about paying more into their healthcare and pensions....

17. As a Wisconsinite I trust the 14 to do what they think is right.
It would be simple to sit back in my easy chair and dictate what I think they should do, but the 14 have already fought the fight and gone the extra mile. I will in no way sit in judgment as to what they are now doing is right or wrong since they've already gone the extra mile. They have my trust and my confidence.

They saw the trap, and they're not falling for it. They're subject to arrest if they put one toe over the state line, last I heard.
