Peaceful Protests Across Iraq
Desperately seeking freedom and a better future, Iraqis by the thousands are bravely protesting.

Unlike last week when at least 12 peaceful protesters were killed by government forces, no-one was killed Friday.

These demonstrators oppose the American occupation and are against a government kept in power by the Americans, which has been unable to even provide the most basic of services such as electricity and clean water.

Unlike the protests in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya, in which media coverage is heavy and personal stories are told, there is little coverage of the Iraq protests in America.

1. "little coverage of the Iraq protests in America"
There's too much money to be made in perpetual war.

2. Yeah, you are correct...
But I really think we need to get out of that business - for our moral and fiscal sanity. A very few make the big bucks, as the rest of us suffer.

3. The decision isn't ours anymore
The ship of the corporate security state and for-profit war has sailed.

There are only enough lifeboats for the passengers who matter.

I'm just satisfied at this point to sort through the bullshit and understand what is happening. If I survive the collapse of the card house I intend to devote significant energy to making sure the people who caused the collapse do not.
