Alan Simpson's Social Security expertise: 'Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dogg'

Here's President Obama's deficit commission co-chair on Fox News.

“This is a fakery,” Simpson said on Fox News. “If they care at all about their children or grandchildren, and sometimes I doubt that—I think, you know, grandchildren now don’t write a thank-you for the Christmas presents, they’re walking on their pants with the cap on backwards listening to the enema man and Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dogg, and they don’t like them!”

Enema man.

You may ask, why is this man testifying before the Senate Finance Committee tomorrow? That's a very good question. Particularly since Chairman Kent Conrad has asked Simpson and his co-chair, Erskine Bowles, to testify "about the final report of the National Commission.

(end snip)

There was no final report of the Catfood Commission.

4. I know, it took me a while to sort it out.
I think he's saying that people don't want to cut social security because they are not thinking about their grandchildren because their grandchildren listen to Enema man and Snoopy Poop Dogg and the people don't like their grandchildren. Therefore, they don't want cuts to social security because they hate their grandchildren.

Makes as much sense as the 310 million teats of Social Security.

One wonders why Obama gave this creature a voice. Seems like he out to be put out to pasture to worry about his bowels (Snoopy Poop and Enema Man).

senility setting in, perhaps.

sometimes that results in reversion to the anal stage.

10. It's very Freudian...just read Erick Erickson's Young Man Luther...
a lot of analysis centering on Martin Luther's revelations while sitting on the can.

3. In all fairness...
...considering how thoroughly Simpson wallows in, and is apparently constructed from, fecal material, it's only natural that he makes those sorts of word associations.

Of course he'd still be more productive out in a field somewhere, fertilizing it, than befouling the public discourse...or the public, for that matter.

5. What a joke from beginning to end
Nice selection of committee members. Simpson is an old bull who should have been left out in the pasture.

8. Even as it was, it could have been useful if it was framed right....
...along the lines of
"I bent over backwards to accommodate the other side, and instead of finding budget solutions we could all agree on even if we didn't like them, they decided to ignore that goal and hand out a new conservative wish-list."

But instead the meme of "a starting point for discussion" is allowed to float (when the alleged purpose of the commission was to be an end point to something that has been discussed round-and-round for years.

9. The man is a pig
I remember him from the Clarence Thomas hearings. Will never forget what an animal he is/was.

Disgusting pos. I think Obama threw him into the mix just to show what type of man Simpson is and his contempt of our people. He does a better job of presenting his pathetic self than words by others.
