Edited on Mon Feb-28-11 05:51 AM by old mark
and "If we can't make them eat the whole loaf, we'll make them eat one slice at a time"...regarding Democrats and proposed GOP cuts..

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110228/NEWS02/102280350/House-speaker-urges-spending-cuts-before-nation-goes-broke

Note at end of article preacher questions why Boehner is even ON their network, states christians spend too muich time on politics, not enough on god.
---------
Mr. Speaker, did you forget that this debt was created by 8 years of GOP spending while cutting taxes? I'd like to take this time to remind you that that is exactly what happened, you lying bastard.

2. And the source of the deficit is arguable and mostly not germain.
Bottom line -- NO SENSIBLE ECONOMIC THEORY PREACHES SPENDING CUTS IN A RECESSION. And notwithstanding hundreds of years of historical experience, we also have the recent examples of the UK and Republic of Ireland, which have made a difficult situation much, much, worse.

Why are Dems being so craven? How about being straight-up with the people, as in "What the Republicans are selling is hysterical nonsene. The American people have spoken, and what they tell us they care about is jobs. They don't give a horse's patoot about the deficit until we get our ass out of this downturn. Wiping out tens of thousands of public sector jobs is a near-certain way to pitch us into another ditch."

9. Moral Failings: stealing the social security trust fund, millions dead from 2 wars of aggression,
under taxing the wealthy, not prosecuting banksters and bushters, breaking the backs of unions, destroying our planet's environment for pleasure and profit... to name but a few.

The Orange Boner is such a dickhead!

safety nets all the while giving handouts to the rich and big business though, no moral failing there right?

26. Boehner also quoted Proverbs in the OT- "A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's
children..." and evidently he is saying that it is Obama and the Democrats who "have forgotten this.." It is outrageous that this amoral asskissing drunk claims the GOP-who has done and is doing its best to bankrupt and impoverish every working person in the US-has the nerve to claim they are interested in any way in our welfare.

I used to look at Boehner as an amusing idiot, but he is really just as much of a sociopathic prick as Newt Gingrich ever was, and possibly even worse.

I am really beginning to actually hate this man...he is America's enemy.

I HATE people who act as though cuts in public services, harshness toward poor people, and other forms of RW policy are some form of moral or religious duty.

I HATE people who bring God into government, and right-wing government into church, and equate Christianity - or other religion -with right-wing policies.

I HATE people who, to use an old saying, think that the right to life begins at conception and ends at birth.

My country has far less of this problem than yours does; it still has far too much!

29. Having Boner as Speaker is America's true moral failing

And spending 300 million a day in Iraq and in Afghanistan are also moral failings.

And allowing Bank of America to pay less taxes than I do is definitely a moral failing.

Boner better be careful - that "moral" karma is gonna sneak up and bite him on his immoral orange ass.....
