3M chief warns Obama over business regulation
The head of one of the US’s biggest industrial groups has launched a scathing attack on Barack Obama’s attempts to repair relations with companies, dubbing him “anti-business”.

Manufacturers could shift production out of the US to Canada or Mexico as a result, warned George Buckley, chief executive and chairman of 3M.

“I judge people by their feet, not their mouth,” he told the Financial Times. “We know what his instincts are – they are Robin Hood-esque. He is anti-business.”

The Obama administration has struck a more conciliatory tone towards business since the Democratic defeat in November’s midterm elections.

To accuse Dems of something they aren't guilty of and then watch them take the bait and try to prove they're not. Too bad Dems always fall for it. Especially Obama.

Yeah, buddy. Anyone who puts any limits on businesses, and doesn't allow them to operate
like it's the Wild West; and anyone who wants corporations to pay their fair share---is
"anti business".

Obama voted to bailout the banks. He also allowed the big-insurance companies to get their
way with healtcare reform. Obama also didn't hold BP accountable. Yeah, he's real "anti
business". :)

You are a selfish pig! You sociopathic scumbags won't be happy until you can do whatever
the hell you please--and until every last penny is in your coffers.

Screw you!

“It’s a war,” Schwarzman said of the struggle with the administration over increasing taxes on private-equity firms. “It’s like when Hitler invaded Poland in 1939.”

These guys are just completely f#$king nuts and now they can use their billions in an unlimited way to try to keep Obama from winning reelection in 2012.

Democrats and People on the Left need to focus on who the real enemy to them is - and it's not Barack Obama. It's these bastards and we will need everyone working to prevent them from winning in 2012. I think the amount of corporate $$$ used against Obama is just going to be staggering.

'Echoing John F. Kennedy, President Barack Obama prodded business leaders Monday to "ask yourselves what you can do for America," not just for company bottom lines, even as he sought to smooth his uneasy relations with the nation's corporate executives.'

37. Buckley is an idiot.
He talks about business moving their manufacturing to other countries because they're "not indentured servants" and "will do business where it's good and friendly" -- and then he complains that he "can't get enthusiastic" about the US economy because of "what's going on in housing, in automotive, in manufacturing in general." As if throwing Americans out of work here wouldn't inevitably limit corporations' ability to sell houses, cars, etc., in the US.

Of course, this is someone stupid enough to think it's an insult to the President to compare him to Robin Hood...

Go ahead and relocate your factories to Mexico, and watch all the "savings' you've made by not using American labor vanish when oil hits $1755 a barrel and you have to truck your products the extra hundreds of miles to get them back into the country.

You're bluffing, chief. Everyone knows it.

The military industrial gravy train runs on time, faster and more deluxe than ever... BP poisons the Gulf of Mexico and he goes on TV to eat Gulf shrimp with a big grin on his face like nothing's wrong. He lets big insurance write their own ticket helping themselves to 15% of everybody's income, or else...
