Think!
Edited on Thu Feb-17-11 04:31 AM by Joe Fields

Think, people. Think for yourselves.

I see so much groupthink here, I just can't stand it. I once thought that most of you could read between the lines. I once thought that liberals had that ability to use lasar-like focus on issues, on politicians and their actions, but...

here we are, still talking about tweety, as it if it makes a fucking bit of difference. Here we are, still acting like moths attracted to the light. Here we are, talking about Obama and the dems with a sense of bewilderment. Please people, please, for the sake of your own well being, wake the fuck up.

I have never considered myself as anyone special. I just pay attention, and it is so fucking easy to see that no one, and I mean NO ONE in D.C. gives a fuck about you and I. Not only do they not give a fuck, but they laugh at us. They look upon us with disdain, while they pick our fucking pockets. And then they laugh and ridicule us. They are in our face right now, with all of the "entitlement" bullshit. And Obama is, whether you like it or not, whether you want to admit it or not, "the leader of the pack." He is not our friend. The rest of Washington is not our friend. Not, unless you happen to be very well off financially.

When will a great number of you finally get the fucking picture?

1. "You have to consider the possibility that..."

I think Tyler Durden says it well. About God, seems to apply equally well to politicians.

"In all probability He hates you. This isn't the worst possibility... We don't need him."

Carry on, faithlessly...

I agree theres is too much group think - which to me is like giving yourself to a whole, but that sounds like it could be
positive but it really is negative because it gives up on thinking,

I say may the best arguement win untill the next arguement is better, it will usu stand on its own
but some people just cant yet imagine being objective and original and considering they are wrong
and I mean not to be wrong for the sake of arguement but for your self as a science of arguement

this is a principle & thats why debate is good - its been a while since I've seen in the media
classic debates with real intellectual people that arent flag wearing dems and republicans
well actually sometimes on C-span

people are not interested in the truth they want to be part of the winning team

thinking takes effort and focus

the media has helped us think - I think its the media that helped end the Viet Nam war and helped bring Civi Rights
in the 60's and 70's because people once they watched things on TV could immedialy empathize and reason

now its the media partly making us group think

why preach to the choir, I think progressives should post in libertarian forums and vice versa
not to say there couldnt be arguements within but whats the point except to do more group thinking
and validate yourself as part of a group and have someone pat you on the back

4. Couldn't agree more.
They get inside a bubble when they reach DC and get swarmed with lobbyists and treated as if they were important, and soon they forget why they are there. Except for a very, very few.

3. oh yes, YOU are just so brilliant and enlighted.
sure you consider yourself special. That couldn't be more obvious despite your little denial. And yeah, I think Bernie gives a damn about me. And I think others in D.C. do too. Not enough of them, but yeah, some.

pffft to you.

5. At least I can say that I wasn't attracted by the shiny new object like you were.
I've read your posts here lately, and you act so damned surprised. Why? What was it about Obama that you couldn't see? Or did you, along with so many others just swoon over his personality?
